Kouzen is most well known as the minister of agriculture and hard work, and this is reflected in how we address him sometimes, as Minis/Minister. Today’s society is not as agriculturally dependent and so most people honor and work with him in matters of hard work and finances. He represents the origin of Haitian society and traditional Haitian values. He is a man of the countryside and values hard work most of all. If you are given a gift by him, know that you have earned it. He is best worked with for financial matters, opportunity and the workforce. If you ask him for something, know that he will make you work for it regardless of your spiritual exchange.
His altar will hold these offerings: jakout, (the straw bag) his straw hat, the pipe with tobacco, the gin tincture mentioned before, dried tobacco leaves, rapadou, a traditional haitian sweet, 7 different colored cotton bandanas tied around the jakout, a green candle and his outfit: denim shirt and pants or denim dress.

Spirit candles are commonly used on the altar, during offerings, and within ceremony. This item is your chance to connect with spirit in a deeper way. Light the candle while you set your table, when you meditate, as you do spiritual work, use it for spiritual work when you are making petitions to the lwa.
This candle is representative so it will also be versatile. When you place your order, you will also get what we call a Spirit Profile, teaching you about the spirit you are working with and also has tips and how you can continue to build your relationship with them.
